I confirm that activating dapper-updates for universe solves the problem, thanks for pointing this out Sebastien. I didn't even know that there were dapper-updates for universe.
I still believe we have a minor issue here:
packages in main should not depend on packages from universe. I suggest to remove the totem dependency on totem-xine or remove the totem meta-package in Ubuntu. Another possibility would be to support totem-xine in main.
