Could you try to run the following commands:

evolution --force-shutdown
env GROUPWISE_DEBUG=1 /usr/lib/evolution/evolution-data-server-1.6 >& /tmp/groupwise.out
evolution

I suggest inspecting  /tmp/groupwise.out  before attaching it here and
check for personal information.
