[Bug 42018] Settings gnome-panel full opaque fails

Description:
When I try setting 'Solid color' and 'Style: Opaque (full)' on the
'Background' tab with gnome-panel properties I get this message:

A programming error has been detected

Details:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/deskbar/ui/cuemiac/Cuemiac.py", line 663, in on_change_background
    style.bg_pixmap[gtk.STATE_NORMAL] = pixmap
TypeError: can only assign a GdkPixmap or None

Gnome Panel version: 2.14.1
Ubuntu version: Dapper upgraded on 29.04.2006

- Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'gnome-panel2'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.
