[Bug 902] Re: Chocolate background appears when loading desktop

Gdm displays the cholocate background even if a user selects a different background color in his session. A proposed solution was to fade into the users environment.
Is this doable (probaly not in dapper)? So should this be looked upon in dapper+1?
