Public bug reported:
Affects: gdm (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
Description of the problem:
In /etc/gdm/gdm.conf there is a line which reads as follows:
PreFetchProgram=/usr/lib/gdmprefetch @/etc/gdm/gdmprefetchlist
The good news is that /usr/lib/gdmprefetch doesn't exist which is just as well because /etc/gdm/gdmprefetchlist lists a whole lot of files that aren't there (using the following should show which files are and aren't available:
find $(cat /etc/gdm/gdmprefetchlist | grep -v \#)
.
Perhaps it would be better if the PreFetchProgram line was simply
commented out by default and a warning added about creating a sensible
/etc/gdm/gdmprefetchlist before uncommenting it?
