[Bug 40660] cannot open properties

Description:
System -> system administration -> printer, and when I'm trying to open
the properties of any printer, cpu utilization raises to 100% and does
not stop until I invoke:

sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart

No error messages are visible at all, even in /var/log/cups. Interesting part is that setting printer properties by other programs (gtklp, kdeprint, gimp, gedit, ... DOES work.
Version of gnome-cups-manager is 0.31-1.1ubuntu4, Dapper. I'm using the german version of ubuntu.
