To have this fixed, we will have to have hal patched to have http://mail.gnome.org/archives/nautilus-list/2006-March/msg00045.html - which is not in Ubuntu yet - (cf http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=167102) 

The nautilus part of it will be in 2.14.1
