Description:
According to the change log for Evince, in version 0.5.0:

    - Show index by default if available

I understand it as: when you open a PDF file which has index (like say a
book), automatically, it shows the side pane on the left, and select
"index" view instead of thumbnails.

If I understood it right, then it doesn't work.
