Sorry to burst your bubble:

Test Run of "boot_card-out-in-out" with original hal-umount.dev:

1. Directory is present, with the conten of my card. Desktop icon is present and
Disk Mounter Device icon is present and in mounted state. Only Nautilus did not
open, which might be intentional for booting up with card already inserted (I
don't know)
2. pass
3. Fail: This is pretty much what we tested for the last 2 weeks - directory is
getting mounted and unmounted in less than a second, Disk Mounter icon appears
but is in unmounted state.
