I think this is a combination of bad UI design and user error.  I tried it again
and realised that when I was first using it I wasn't associating a command with
the new entry, so the new entry didn't show up at all.  Yes, I should have
associated a command with it.  But the UI should have had that field be required
(because it actually is required in order for anything to happen).
