Summary: keyboard layout diagrams are wrong
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: gnome-control-center
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: dooglus at gmail.com
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

Both the UK and the Czech keyboard layouts display wrongly in the diagram (see
attached images).

(To see the layout diagrams, run "gnome-keyboard-properties", click the
'layouts' tab, and then click 'add'.

On a UK keyboard, the keys along the top row work as the digits 1 through 0 when
unshifted. The diagram suggests that the '0' key sends a ')' if unshifted, and
needs to be shifted to send a '0'. That's clearly nonsense, and not even the
way that the UK layout works in ubuntu. Just the diagram is wrong, not the map
itself.

Similarly, the Czech (GNOME calls it "Czechia" for some reason) layout also has
the '0' key displayed wrongly. On Czech keyboards, you have to use shift to get
the digits. If you don't use shift, you get accented characters. The diagram
shows the 0 key sending a 0 when unshifted, which is wrong, but again the layout
itself works as it should.

I don't know whether other diagrams are also wrong, but the US one looks fine.
