I just updated Breezy again, which did install this version of cupsys, but I
still have the problem... no icon.
I looked at that other bug, checked the file permission /etc/cups/cupsd.conf,
and they are 644 which I understand is right ?
Anything I could do to help you debug it ?
I must add that the update notification icon has disappeared too, so maybe it's
not related strictly to printing.
However the notification applet IS ;-) there, and Rhythmbox uses it successfully.
