Yeah, I found out why that happened:
this afternoon, when I tried to insert a dvd (a data dvd toasted under winXP
with Nero) my computer freezed. I tried to reset, and same thing happened, gnome
session freezed while opening. I did a hard reboot and removed the dvd while in
the grub menu. I launched linux, and every thing went well. It seems logical to
think my dvd caused all this mess.
