Summary: Location bar not focused when creating a new tab
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: epiphany-browser
AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: amos.brocco at mriyasoftware.com
QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
After creating a new tab (using the File->New tab option or using CTRL+T) the
focus should go to the location bar instead of
the default page. In Firefox things works correctly and are (from my point of
view) more natural: when browsing a page I can
simply press CTRL+T to open a new tab and then start typing the address of the
page I want to visit; in epiphany currently wheb I press CTRL+T and the new
tab appears, if I dont manually select the location text box (or press CTRL+L) I
just start what seems to be a search in the default page.
using: epiphany-browser 1.6.1-0ubuntu2 on hoary
