Yes, this problem happens with a fully installed Kubuntu and running a KDE session.

unfortunately I can't quite give a exact step-by-step procedure to reproduce
this behaviour. I simply pop a CD into the drive, wait and nothing happens. This
happens on my desktop (custom athlon XP), my laptop (acer aspire 1524) and my
gf's desktop (some HP celeron).

To save some bug-hunting energy, I suggest that we wait until breezy is released
and let me test it on my computers. If the problem persists, I can reply to this
thread to report my experience. The release date is right around the corner and
maybe this behaviour is fixed in it.
