Ubuntu | gnome-cups-manager

Summary: gnome-cups-manager creates printers with invalid names
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: gnome-cups-manager
        AssignedTo: martin.pitt at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: ebichete at yahoo.com
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

When adding a printer the gnome-cups-manager is creating printers whose name
contains SPACE characters (ie. "Color Laserjet 4650-1" instead of
"Color-Laserjet-4650-1") if there is an existing printer of that type (that
would have had the same name, "Color-Laserjet-4650"). This makes the printer
unconfigurable using lpadmin which only accepts printers whose name contains
printable characters except SPACE and TAB. It does the right thing the first
time, just not for subsequent printers.

In my case the both printers were:

(Manufacturer: HP, Model: Color Laserjet 4650)

and this is under Breezy Badger.

gnome-cups-manager version is 0.31-0ubuntu1
