            Status: UNCONFIRMED

I've been using the nv driver, but since I've read in the forums that the nvidia
driver was working fine, I thought I would try it & see if gdm & other things
loaded faster. So, I stopped gdm, I enabled it with "sudo nvidia-glx-config
enable" & restarted gdm. Everything went fine. I then logged into gnome &
surprise! gnome-panel failed to load some icons from the icon set I was using.
At first, I though it was a problem with the driver (nvidia), so I logged out,
stopped gdm, changed to my backup copy of the xorg.conf file & restarted gdm.
The same problem. I've rebooted, the problem is still there. I've deleted the
icons, rebooted, reinstalled the icons, same problem. Before I tried the nvidia
driver, gnome-panel loaded all icons perfectly. I'm using the dropline-neu icon
set which is available in art.gnome.org or gnome-look.org (lastest version 04).
The icons are all svg. The icons gnome fails to load are the mozilla-firefox &
the rhythmbox ones (I have some launchers for them in the panel). There are
other icons which don't appear in the menus.

I really don't know what's happening here... I haven't made any updates in the
proces of trying the nvidia driver, so it a strange thing I can't figure out. It
was working ok before. I've also tried "killall gnome-panel" but then when the
gnome-panel is reloaded, the same error occurs. I don't know how to load the
panel in a verbose way to have more info for this bug.

the error message says:
Failed to load the image mozilla-firefox.png
Details: unrecognized file format

NOTE: I've translated from spanish to english. There's another error box for the
rhythmbox file.

I assume thatif you're not using the icon set, you will probably won't be able
to reproduce the bug easily. I think this has something to do with some icon
cache thing... but I've tried to recreate the icon cache for that icon set with
no success. This is very extrange & I don't know how to fix it, except a
reformat, which I don't think is appropiate for a icon set. Searching google
I've found this which seems to be the same error:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=&postid=1827256 I've
tried what's been suggested there with no success.
