The side pane seems to be set to a certain percentage of the width of the
rhythmbox window.
This causes awkward behavior when scaling the window from partial to full screen
and back, in my case the difference is between seeing the first letter of the
playlist or the entire name.

I suggest that it stores it's width with an absolute value, so that playlists
remain visible even on smaller window sizes.

one can easily see the issue when switching from a very small to a full screen
window and back.
