update ubuntu and it worked. There was a problem and I don't really know what
fixed it. The gnome-volume-control also didn't open (at least without options,
if I ran it with --sync it did run (rhythmbox didn't)). I will close it myself,
ok? (now I have to fix my x server that is giving a cryptic error abou xkbcomp)
