Summary: Shouldn't say "this version is not yet complete"
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: evolution
AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: mpt at myrealbox.com
QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
The version of Evolution in Ubuntu 5.10 shouldn't put up an alert, every time it
starts, saying "This version of Evolution is not yet complete". That would be
reasonable for something in Universe, but not for something that is installed by
default in Ubuntu.
This can be fixed by:
(1) shipping Evolution 2.4 (if it will be finished before Ubuntu 5.10)
(2) shipping Evolution 2.2
(3) patching Evolution to turn off the alert.
This bug report is in case option (3) is the right one. If options (1) or (2)
are already planned, feel free to mark this NOTABUG.
