This is what happens:

Artist list:
*All
Bar
Baz
Foo

click Foo

Artist list:
All
Bar
Baz
*Foo

hold down control and click Bar

Artist list:
All
Bar
Baz
*Foo


the last artist list should be:
All
*Bar
Baz
*Foo
