sorry that i caused confusion, but the FAT error could ALSO come from my second
usb mass storage device. this one is working, but has some filesystem errors. to
provide useful information, i did everything again, without the second disk and
with a cleaned kernel ringbuffer!

below you'll find attached a second set of log files, using UMS firmware
