Ubuntu | gnome-volume-manager

Summary: nothing happens when camera is plugged in
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: gnome-volume-manager
        AssignedTo: martin.pitt at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: tjaalton+ubuntu at cc.hut.fi
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

When I plug in my Canon G3 gthumb is not run. I've even tried a third party
script that writes to a logfile
(http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/parkkali/software/import-photos.sh) but the logfile
is not created.. so I think that g-v-m doesn't notice that a camera has been
plugged in. Running 'gthumb --import-photos' manually works, but I'd like g-v-m
to work. Device manager lists the device as "Canon Digital Camera" so that part
is functional..

this is a fresh breezy install
