Summary: recursive permission changing in nautilus
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: nautilus
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: sandisn at gmail.com
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

If user have a need to change permissions on large directory tree (with lots of
files in each dir), he/she has to use chmod -R in terminal, because there is no
such option in nautilus(properties->permissions). Good examples of such trees
could be music collection or photo albums.

Some of possible solutions:
1) add another line (something like "recursive: _" or "change content
permissions recursively: _") beneath "Others: _ _ _".
2) add "Advanced" tab where various options could be listed.

I believe this bug will be marked upstream, but what exactly does it mean? That
it is sent to upstream or that i have to do it myself?
