Thanks for testing the patch. The problem with the patch is that it creates a
memory leak because the GtkAccelGroup is not properly destroyed when a
gnome-terminal is destroyed. I just wanted to test my suspicion 

I reverted the recent launchpad-integration change so that it no longer triggers
the problem.

Here is what I did to make it crash:
1. open lots (~50) of gnome-terminals (with CTRL-SHIFT-N)
2. close them again with CTRL-D
3. goto 1

this made it crash for me after a couple of iterations.
