Summary: Gdm face browser should not show users with
                    shell=/bin/false
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: gdm
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: gervystar at gervystar.net
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

Where I work we have a centralized ldap database containing all the users able
to access some components of our network (shell access, mail, CRM, etc.).
The users allowed to have a shell login are very few, while the others are a lot
and have /bin/false as their default shell.
I think that gdm's face browser should not show the people that won't be able to
login, but only the enabled ones.
This could maybe be made just checking the user's shell against /etc/shells on
the machine on which gdm runs.
