"ps ax | grep mixer" showed that there was already one instance running. I
killed it and I got an error message "Gnome-Volume-Managed exited
unexpectedly...". Then if I run /usr/lib/gnome-applets/mixer_applet2 in the
console and add the applet to the panel : I get no ouput and the applet doesn't
appear.
