No, totem-gstreamer acts like totem-xine. The DVD was inserted when I ran lshal
a few days ago, but I can give you another lshal output if you want in different
situations. This bug is likely a subset of
http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17387 The strange thing is, I can
play my DVDs in totem when i previously insert a CD-R or a CD-RW, eject it and
then insert a DVD. Totem even starts automagically and starts playing.
