Ubuntu | gconf

           Summary: /desktop/gnome/interface/enable_animations doesn't seem
                    to work
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: gconf
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: dooglus at gmail.com
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

If I run gconf-editor and navigate to
/desktop/gnome/interface/enable_animations, I see the description telling me
that it controls "whether animations should be displayed", and that it "changes
the behaviour of the window manager".

But it doesn't. Whether I "enable_animations" or not, I still see the animated
"shrinking" effect when I minimise a window.

Checking the metacity source code, it turns out that the enable_animations key
isn't used at all.
