Summary: example printer addresses are hard to find, and wrong

           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED

          Priority: P2
         Component: gnome-cups-manager

try to add a new printer via system->administration->printing, new printer. this
brings up the "add a printer" dialog.

click network printer (ipp). the dialog shows a single text field, called uri.
but it doesn't give any examples of what the uri syntax. if you hover over the
textfield, a tooltip will show up, with some uri examples. but why not just have
the examples shown in the blank area below the text field? (i was guessing at
the uri syntax until i stumbled upon the tooltip by accident... i certainly
would not have thought of searching for a tooltip to find the example syntax.)

another problem is that the information in the tooltip isn't that helpful. in
fact, it is wrong (at least for my case). it gives examples such as:

http://hostname:631/ipp and ipp://hostname/ipp/port1

but none of the examples are similar to the uri that actually worked for me:
ipp://<hostname>/printers/<printername>.
