Actually I don't remember, it stopped working about 2 months ago. What do you think,
what should I reinstall? Simple apt-get --purge remove gdm and reinstall doesn't
help at all...
Maybe there is some simple way to debug gdm and see why it doesn't launch the X
server?

Unfortunately, GDM is black magic for me:(
