Summary: Sound Preference Changes Don't Take Effect Until Log Out
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: capplets
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: punkrockguy318 at comcast.net
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

When one makes changes to the sound preferences dialog
(System->Preferences->Sound), the changes do not take effect until GNOME is
restarted. The changes should either take place immediately, or the user should
be informed that the changes will not take effect until he/she logs out and logs
back in.
