Ubuntu | gtk+2.0
Summary: gtk-update-icon-cache not run
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: gtk+2.0
AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: bmaurer at novell.com
QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
gtk-update-icon-cache does not get run by the .deb packages. As a result,
nautilus (and some other programs) allocate 300kb or more of memory on startup
that could be saved. Also, large amounts of disk IO are required to look at icons.
