This is Schrodinger's bug: as soon as you gave me instructions on how to capture
the stack(s), it stopped appearing.

I've been upgrading Breezy religiously these past few days, so probably some
Xorg thing or somesuch got upgraded and the problem fixed itself. I'd give it
another week, then mark this Fixed. I've been shutting down the system quite
regularly (it's a laptop), and haven't been able to reproduce it.
