this is fixed with this upload: 

gst-plugins0.8 (0.8.9-0ubuntu1) breezy; urgency=low
 .
   * Sync with Debian.
   * New upstream version.
   * Fixed the build with some CVS files.
   * debian/build-deps.in:
     - don't use type-handling, build with the current flac.
   * debian/control.in:
     - don't use type-handling to build.
   * debian/patches/default_sink.patch:
     - default to alsasink.
   * debian/rules:
     - "linux" to "linux-gnu" workaround to fix the alsa plugin build
