Sebastian, I note that your upstream bug refers to gtkhtml 3.7 and not to 3.6.
Did you actually check the 3.7 version with the same results?

(Another thing is, that my colleague noted that, as Evolution renders totally
un-usable for the rest of time (i.e. you cannot open the program anymore, it
will hang immediately) this bug should be marked "major" instead of "normal".)
