Last I looked, the package contained a
/usr/share/applications/rhythmbox.desktop.  The categories the application
belonged to seemed to be the same as other entries such as Totem that do appear
in the menu, however it contains a couple of different extra entries.  I
reported this on ubuntu-users.

Someone also commented in bug 6516 that Rhythmbox is missing, however the
original bug isn't really about missing icons as far as I can tell.
