I'm using two cd drives on the second ide, the first being a cd-rom and the
second one a cd-rw. 

the cd-rw is mounted as /dev/hdd and mounted as /media/cdrom1. Cdrdao requires
the cd-recorded is mapped to /dev/cdrecorder, thus it will not work.
