Card 1 is actually the sound driver you'll want to use (snd_via82xx), since it
seems your USB headset (snd_usb_audio) isn't a fully-featured card 0.

One workaround you may use is:
$ echo "options snd-usb-audio index=-2" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base

You may find it expedient to reboot, but you can also just unload then reload
the ALSA modules.
