That's it! thanks.
I think although that this feature should be configured natively, because an en
user could never guess what's happening with backup files, especially if not
visible.
I'm a newbee, and I saw backup files before, as a one year intensive user, now.
(Of other distributions)

Ok. This does not matter too much. I can stand using file names with no accent.
I think anyhow that with the 'dpkg-reconfigure' I already configured all the
french locales, unless I forgot one, but I don't have time to check again just now.

Ok.

beg your perdon ? 'printed here' ? printed where ?

Ok, I can see them in the GUI now. Really, it's better they would natively be
visible,
than having to configure the Edition/Préférences menu, where some end user would
not search, especially for a problem with burning.

Might be, or might be bugs too. I have many more than one document made with OOo
or Abiword,
and only one file of each (auto)generated a backup. One for OOo and one for
Abiword. KI did not change any configuration in one or in other of these two
applications in the meanwhile.
Though I could not file a bug report for that, with such a small sample.

I use FR-fr locales.
The problem came from the orphan backup documents. Once the backup documents
next to their parent documents again, in the same folder, the burning problem
was solved.
Thanks for your complementary informations.
Best greetings, J.M.
