I attached a USB drive into my computer, which made the music I was playing lock
up for a second or two, then resume for about a second about three times, as
well as the mouse.  After my machine was done locking up, the drive was not
mounted, however, something was listed under "Computer".  Double clicking on
this OTi flash drive gave me a rather cryptic error message (see attachment).  I
checked hdparm, and strangely, it seemed to disable DMA on my harddrives hda and
hdb.  Dmesg gave me the following:
