Splitting off a privileged process still sounds like overengineering to me to be
honest, but it is fine for me. But why doesn't a game know its highscore file
path right from the start (AFAICS this was the only reason why the
straightforward 'open, drop privileges, gtk_main()' approach doesn't work)?
