I have a similar problem:

Hoary was working fine, it would open a burn window when a blank CD was inserted
and writing to the disk worked fine. Right click on .iso images also worked just
fine. I updated to Breezy and now it only has the option to write to a .iso
file, no option to write to the drive. I did a clean install and the problem
persists. I can burn CDs just fine with Gnome Baker, so it is not a permission
problem.

Here's the output of the script:
