I was trying to copy an audio CD (nautilus-cd-burner --source-device=/dev/hdc).
The program freezes immediately after pressing "Write" and never returns.
There aren't any kernel messages, just the one message reported. Since it's
copying it hasn't even figured out what kind of media yet. I have the burnproof
and overburn options set through gconf. io32 and unmask_irq were set by the
kernel and I have dma set on by hdparm.

Behavior is the same with the drive on the IDE bus as with it on USB (same
drive, different drive, tried it all). Ripping and playing CDs w/ Sound Juicer
works fine, as does burning CDs (including audio CDs).

This box has been upgraded from Warty to Hoary to Breezy, but all installed
packages are from the Breezy repos.

I can try dapper, but it's going to take a while to setup because I'll need to
swap HDDs and reinstall (the machine is my home machine, used by my wife and I
can't have it be unstable.)

I've only seen this bug on my machine at home (though I haven't tried copying
Audio CDs much). On another machine (same distro) the progress bar goes to 80%
but says 0% during the rip attempt and nothing at all happens.
