well, the error has come back.

this is the error that printed to terminal (or .xsession-error)

** (evolution:7625): WARNING **: Failed to send buffer

** (evolution:7625): WARNING **: Failed to send buffer
evolution-shell-Message: Killing old version of evolution-data-server...

** (evolution:7625): WARNING **: Failed to send buffer

** (evolution:7625): WARNING **: Failed to send buffer

(evolution:7625): e-utils-WARNING **: No parent set, or default parent available
for error dialog

if I quit the session (ctrl-alt-backspace) it seems to "fix" it as evolution can
then startup when I login again.
