           Summary: Conditional mail notification
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: evolution
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: vincent.trouilliez at modulonet.fr
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

The mail notification feature is nice, but I don't use it because with all the
spam and mailing lists messages I receive, I would get a notification litterally
every 2 minutes, which renders it useless if just painful.

What would be nice, is to be notified only when receiving important e-mail, that
is, private mail. Evolution should filter/sort all the mailing lists, then
remove all the junk/spam, and if after all this house keeping, a mail still
remains in the inbox, then it's likely to be private mail, and it would be worth
notifying the person.

So it would be great to have a little check box in the preferences dialog where
the e-mail notification is set, that would read something like : "Only notify me
about private mail".
