Summary: Partition on external hard disk is recognized as vfat
instead of ext3
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: hal
AssignedTo: martin.pitt at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: vuntz at gnome.org

(running an uptodate breezy)
I have a hard disk plugged in a IDE/USB adaptator. When I plug the USB plug on
my computer, it mounts the two partitions. One is a vfat partition and the other
is an ext3 partition. However, both are mounted as vfat.
I can see in hal-device-manager that the ext3 partition is seen as vfat, so I'd
say it's hal that is wrong.
