it seems to be working better with the latest breezy updates.  need to play with
it a bit more to be sure (I've been on vacation for the past few weeks, and just
got back).

I am, however, still seeing an empty list when I first log in (also seeing this
on debian unstable machine w/ gnome 2.10 and NO inotify), but if I open a new
document, all entries show up, and if I clear it, it seems to be working correctly.
