Summary: Composing plain text messages : problems with 'tab'
                    characters
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: evolution
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: vincent.trouilliez at modulonet.fr
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

I wrote a little 'table' in gedit, using the 'tab' key to format the various
columns/rows, then copy/pasted it into Evolution (also set to use plain text by
default), but the table ended up broken, no idea why. The biggest annoyance is
that no amount of fiddling was sufficient to put the table straight. It just
doens't like plain text 'table', I guess it's to do with the 'tab' key/character.
I couldn't see any logic in the way that Evolution was reacting to my input,
when I was trying to correct the situation. At some point, it even deleted a word !

It's in the same league (weirdness wise) as the bug in 6 month ago, where you
couldn'g break a quoted message to insert your comments, the 'enter' key would
harly produce the epxected result.

For comparison purposes, I tried to paste the table into other programs
(Mozilla-mail and nano) and it works perfectly first time, as expected. Piccy
attached to illustrate the problem : orginal table in Gedit (top left),
Evolution woes (top right), mozilla-mail (bottom-left) and nano in the bottom right.
