Ubuntu | gedit
Summary: gedit shows ~ in title bar when open file is in uses
home dir
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: gedit
AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com

OK, we all know that ~ means "my home dir" but hey, my mom doesn't know that :p.
~ can also mean many different things in various languages and in various
different contexts.
Shouldn't gedit not show ~ and instead display this as /home/user or mabye just
"home" or "Home Folder" like the places menu? Something other than just ~.
This can seem weird to people unfamilure with what ~ means in the UNIX world.
